RE: Delegation of Authority - Withdrawal of Consent to Remain on Campus

The Executive Vice Chancellor; Vice Chancellors; Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director, UCI Medical Center; and University Police Officers are hereby delegated the authority and responsibility to withdraw consent to remain on campus or facilities only in accordance with:

Sections 626.4 and 626.6 of the State of California Penal Code, Braxton v. Municipal Court (1973) 10 Cal. 3d 138 - a California Supreme Court decision which establishes the permissible interpretation of Section 626.4, and the procedures set forth in Section 900-15 [revised 10/03 as Section 900-20] of the University of California, Irvine Policy and Procedures Manual.

This authority may not be redelegated and supersedes that dated June 11, 1986.
