RE: Redelegation of Authority – Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards
The authority granted to the Chancellor in Standing Order 100.6 of the Standing Orders of The Regents authorizes the Chancellor as the chief campus officer responsible for the organization and operation of the Irvine campus to negotiate and execute environmental, health and safety permits and licenses subject to any restrictions imposed by applicable laws and regulations governing signatories.; This authority to permit applications required in connection with activities or services at the University of California, Irvine was delegated to me in IDA358, February 25, 2003.
To comply with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's new Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards, you are delegated authority to serve as "Authorizer" for the Chemical Security Assessment Tool for the UC Irvine campus and you are responsible for completing the required training.
Within the scope of this delegation, you are responsible for designating staff to serve as "Preparer" and "Submitter," and for retaining those assignments in writing in your files.
This authority may not be redelegated further.
