RE: Redelegation of Authority - Establish Perquisite Values

The authority to establish perquisite values was granted to Chancellors in DA 2087, dated September 15, 1997. I am redelegating to the Assistant Vice Chancellor-Accounting and Fiscal Services the authority to establish, after appropriate consultation with the Associate Vice Chancellor-Student Affairs, Campus Life & Auxiliary Services, the value of mandatory meal and housing perquisites on the basis of the cost to the University of providing such perquisites and the amount charged to others for similar meals and living accommodations.

By October 1 of each year the Assistant Vice Chancellor-Accounting and Fiscal Services will provide the Office of the President with a listing, by classification, of all mandatory food and housing perquisites that are in effect on that date.

Any redelegation of this authority should be in writing with copies to the list below. This delegation supersedes the December 1, 1995 delegation of authority, IDA035, from Chancellor Wilkening on the same subject.
