RE: Redelegation of Authority - Withdrawal of Consent to Remain on Campus and in UCI-Operated Facilities

The Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor; Vice Chancellors; President and Chief Executive Officer of UCI Health and Chief Operating Officer of UCI Health; and all University of California Police Officers are delegated the authority and responsibility to withdraw consent to remain on campus or in UCI-operated facilities only in accordance with:

Sections 626.4 and 626.6 of the State of California Penal Code, Braxton v. Municipal Court (1973) 10 Cal. 3d 138 - a California Supreme Court decision which establishes the permissible interpretation of Section 626.4 and UCI's policy and the procedures as set forth in Section 900-20 -- Policy of Withdrawal of Consent to remain on Campus.

This authority may not be relegated and supersedes IDA 136 on this same topic dated July 21, 1995.
