Local policy and procedures for implementing incentive award programs, including eligibility criteria, description of award types, timing, funding, employee/union notice requirements and program documentation processes are distributed periodically by Vice Chancellors, the Director-UCI Medical Center, and the Dean, College of Medicine. Customized award programs, within campuswide guidelines, are developed by the offices of the Vice Chancellors, the Director-UCI Medical Center, and the Dean, College of Medicine or more locally if the program authority is redelegated to unit managers. The department manager is charged with communicating specific information regarding eligibility, funding, nomination, review and approval processes to affected employees. Local guidelines for customized award programs may be obtained by contacting the employee’s unit manager.
